We normally get to shows first thing on opening day and at both Peterborough and Kelmarsh there were stands not open when we went round.

Well, from a post on Instagram today, it seems as if the Peterborough Land Rover Show has been cancelled for this year.

Not entirely surprising I suppose, under the circumstances.

That's disappointing, but as you say very understandable under the circumstances.

Still, it gave me the opportunity to see the above picture, and see a D90 with what I think are the 17" Predator alloys on, which is great as these are on my hit list at the moment Very Happy 2005 Td5 90 XS

Well that rules out East of England Showground as the issue.

I expect it would either come down to the organisers insurance policy or a lack of interest from exhibitors.

The last thing you need for public good will to go down the drain is a half baked show with not much to see. I expect we have all been to shows like that and you leave with a bitter taste in the mouth after forking our large amounts of money to get in.

The big question is if it was still to be held, would you go?

The way I feel at present about things and especially some people’s lack of social distancing, I would have given it a miss.

It’s a shame. It’s fairly local to me.

I think Rashers has got it spot on.

Traders are nervous about footfall and social distancing and I bet advance ticket sales are down. Organisers are probably nervous the shows will be poor and not profitable.

I normally attend a lot of trade shows with work and whilst many are still nominally going ahead they seem to still be getting cancelled as they get nearer. I wouldn’t be surprised if Truckfest went that way as well. We would normally have a stand at the England ones and we aren’t doing for this year. 2007 110 TDCi Station Wagon XS
