It was refreshing change to see the human element of it all.

Alot of youtubers show the glam and the nice sides to overlanding without showing the mental and physical side that you will endure as you work out the way of life of those outside the western world.

The hours in border crossings, the monotonous boring days ( and there are alot of them ) with your entire life in a small box, the weather, breakdowns, costs etc.

The intrusion of privacy which we do find quite difficult to comprehend ( especially brits! ) but to those people you encounter, it's a way of life once you leave that barrier mentality we tend to have here.

The way in which scenarios pan out was good to see. Those helping the turtles and the frustration of how they were doing it compared to how we might do it and of course the money being stolen was quite a shock in their way of dealing with that.

It isn't easy doing this and they were quite honest about how they felt about it, but that is the difference between this film and alot of other popular ' overlanders ' out there and it won't be received as well because it isn't as glamorous, it isn't as nice and it isn't what we're used to.

If you do start to watch it, then stick with it. it takes a while to get going and although you might feel the guy is a miserable Censored , jsut rememeber he's being honest.

Be prepared for the dog as well....
