^^ ... good question Ramsay - we have a toilet as we are now getting a little old for wandering about in the woods in the night in the snow and rain ..
We empty it daily when required - it does not smell or leak, (having proved the when we used it on a 3 week trip last summer to Slovenia and back) ..
its more environmentally friendly and can be used in the middle of a town when needed
And it now required for camping off grid in places like Scandinavia etc ..

As I said above - everyone has their own priorities and what is important for one is not the same for others ...
My partner had 3 requirements when we did our conversion - always made up bed, comfy driving seats and a potty .. all built in to the 110 - so job done!

I’m going to investigate this when it’s in stock soon
For £40 with a 3yr warranty , what not to like

https://www.lidl.co.uk/en/p/outdoor-activi...box/p32347 My confidence has been writing cheques that my abilities can't cash for years.

You can’t knock that for the money, would be interested to see what it draws?

This is a thermoelectric/peltier coolbox. They are nice and cheap, and do get stuff cool.

The downsides are that the peltier element runs constantly, they don't have any sort of temperature control. The peak power draw is lower than a compressor fridge, but the average is much higher. The constant running aspect also makes them guite prone to condensation inside.

In theory you could make it temperature controlled, but for a given electrical input, a peltier element has much less cooling power than a compressor/refrigerant system.

Might be perfect for your needs, just wanted to offer a good comparison between the 2 types!

Just adding to this thread, we bought a Dometic CD30 drawer fridge a few months ago to fit into the truck.

The reason for the drawer style was a few points.

1. The ease of use of a draw over a door. You can pack things into the drawer without worrying about it falling over and all space is easily used

2. The compressor and parts are possible to mount away from the fridge body, apprximately 1.5 metres is the length of the copper pipe. You do of course have to be careful with the pipe, but it allows moving the hotter section of the fridge to an area away from the main unit, making it work better.

3. minimal draw, apprx 1.5ah @ 0c.

If you're worried about space, i'd definately recommend one of these. The other option was a standard tall fridge from Ingel which also had the ability to move the compressor away from the unit, but the draw, for me, is a much better use of space
