I know it's nothing like one really, but from that angle with the bulkhead exposed I can't help thinking of a Deuce Coup

I was beginning to lean towards a Bentley too. They have that squared back end to the roof

However I can’t find a Bentley of that era with that steering wheel. They are completely different

Might not be the original wheel, looking at it, that may have been something else just flung on to move it. Defender TD5 90 ---/--- Peugeot 306 HDI hatch back

Well done that man and only 2 photos Thumbs Up

Yes Armstrong Siddeley Whitley. I inherited this when I bought the yard along with some other goodies, tried to sell it on eBay etc and tried owners clubs to see if anyone wanted parts and nothing! Apparently they so rare no one is rebuilding them!

All went to the scrap heap including a apparently running 6 cylinder engine and box. Whistle

i am very surprised no one took any parts off you, if its such a rare car. I never heard of an Armstrong Siddeley at all.
you cannot say you never tried, though in moving bits. The metro side of things is the same now, i could i hell get shot of bits. i ended up chucking bits. But 6 months later, my auntie and uncle, failed to tell me that their next door neighbour was restoring a metro gti Rolling Eyes i hit the roof! Some of the bits he needed i had chucked out Defender TD5 90 ---/--- Peugeot 306 HDI hatch back

I'm afraid it is often the case Crying or Very sad
In the early 80's I took what would have been a relatively easy to restore 1949 80" and converted it to a V8. I ended up dumping the original 1600cc engine and most of the ancillaries including the bulkhead mounted steering box/column with the dip switch in the centre.
When I see the prices being asked now for early headlights behind the grill 80" Series I's , I could weep Big Cry

As much as I dislike scrapping old stuff I remind myself that in nearly everything be it property, vehicles or antiques it’s the ones that haven’t survived that makes the remainder valuable and desirable. Formerly mao99999

I am in the same boat with my piano,
1 there are worlds a part equipment now that has been retired from studios, which are going for peoples price range.
2 the age of it now, its clocking 20 years old and its more of a collector status or someone who loves that name.
3 i could part it out, but its far to good to break, and its still has many, many years left.
So i am giving it to my work mate who is learning from scratch, he has a little cheap keyboard but its not really working for him. He is after something more powerful and more keys, and i said rather you spend money on a new piano that has lot less sounds, you can have my high end stage piano for free, a long with the stand.
i could have ago at selling it, and it may go, but i would have a right feeling that i would get messed about left right and centre.
Some fella who spotted me receiving my replacement, knew what it was, and even he said, he gave away 1000s of pounds worth of stuff, to starter studios, due to how the times move etc. Defender TD5 90 ---/--- Peugeot 306 HDI hatch back
