1993 Defender 90 300 Tdi CSW Barolo Black
300Tdi ignition Switch
When I go to turn the key on my 300tdi, it does not click into the positions, it just turns all the way to start the engine. If feels like a spring has broken or something similar.

What part do I need to replace it? It starts fine it’s just very frustrating when you only want to turn the radio on and the whole car bursts into life.

It is likely to be the switch that attaches to the barrel, easy removed only held on with a couple of screws.

If you take the switch off the barrel, the key has no resistance
