I’ve no direct experience, but when I was doing a lot reading on this topic the conclusion always seemed to be that Odyssey are a bit better. 2007 110 TDCi Station Wagon XS

I mooved from a pair of Optimas,red & yellow top's.To a pair of 1500 Odysseys.
They have been in use now for the last 3 years,& I can't fault them. But,my Optimas lasted 10 years. I hope the Odyessy's last as long. I got mine from Devon 4x4. ![]() Marc |

When my battery failed i asked around and all said that Oddesey was the way to go, so i did, well it's been a few years now ( cant remember how long ago i fitted it ) it turns the engine over as if it was put in yesterday, really impressed with it and i got mine from Devon 4X4 as they are not to far from me

+1 again for the Odysseys. I've had two with a BlueSea management system for 8 years. Replacement for an Optima.
Got mine from Tim at mobilecentre. Tell someone you love them today because life is short. But shout it at them in German because life is also terrifying and confusing... |

Thanks, it looks like Odyssey is the way forward, i know its just a battery but unfortunalty my 110 can sit around for a while without being moved and with the cranking amps of the odyssey and the ability to be a deep cycle makes sense for me
trouble is they are £270 each ![]() 2016 Range Rover Autobiography 4.4 TDV8 (gone) 2010 110 XS Utility 2.4TDCI 2010 Range Rover Sport TDV8 (gone) 2007 Discovery HSE TDV6 (gone) 1993 110 csw 200 tdi (gone) 1994 90 HT 300 tdi (gone) 1994 discovery 300tdi (gone) 90 hybrid 3.5 v8 (gone) Range rover bobtail 3.5 v8 (gone) |

Just for your info Oddyssey will tell you, and they (the batteries) will benefit from once a year to be fully charged with a quality charger. Don’t just rely on the alternator.

Cheers Andy, i use the Ctek charger on a maintenance charge when not in use foe a while, actually it has a recon function on it which works fantastically well, my original battery was dying due to age so gave it a go on the recon setting and wow the battery was awesome another year or so, really impressed with it.
