Wheel Balancing Recommendations
Does anyone know of a good place that will balance my 285/75/R16 tyres in SW London or near Cirencester? I tried a place in Gosforth when I was up north recently that couldn’t do them, because of their size, and I’ve tried a place in London that needs an adapter to mount my wheels to their machine. Charlie

Worth Asking Andy and Dean at AJS Tryes near to Reigate just off the M25

They specialise in 4wd tyres. Also they have the larger wheel weights so you won’t end up with a wheel peppered.

Hope that helps

And yes I would recommend as I have used them many a time though the largest tryes I had were 255/75/16

Cheers

Maybe try Farol - ag suppliers and fit lots of tyres to big, little and middle sized stuff.

There's one in Twyford or just off the M4 J14 at Hungerford on the way to Cirencester.

Don’t know, need to have a hunter alignment system if you want it precise. I'm on IG: https://www.instagram.com/osloblue42/

I’m going to give AJS a ring in a bit.

Oslo, I went to a place that has a Hunter alignment & balancing machine but they couldn’t mount my wheels to their machine. Crying or Very sad Charlie

A little North of Cirencester but I use Venture 4x4 who are based in Shipston on Stour, having just had my wheels re-coated I was wary of scratching them but they did a great job and they balanced up a treat. They are an LR garage with their own tyre outfit based in the next building and have Hunter alignment.

From memory there was also a good tyre place on the Love Lane industrial estate in Cirencester, not far from Listers. They have previously balanced LR wheels for me but that was almost 10 years ago.

Are they unusual wheels you have? 2005 Td5 110 Hardtop

AJS are going to see what they can do tomorrow. Thumbs Up

If that fails, I’ll give Venture 4x4 a ring and see if they’re free on Saturday morning.

They’re Cooper STT PROs on ZU alloys. So not the friendliest combo to balance Laughing Charlie

If it helps, the last tyres I had balanced by Venture 4x4 were 285 Cooper STT on Twisted wheels so you should be ok Thumbs Up 2005 Td5 110 Hardtop
