United Kingdom 2004 Defender 90 Td5 SW Santorini Black
Dynabeads
I’ve been trying to balance my 287/75/R16 Cooper STT PROs with dynabeads and so far have had no luck. Big Cry I started by adding 8oz to each tyre and got some wheel wobble. I added another 4oz to the front and still have wheel wobble. Do I keep adding beads until the wobble stops or is it best to go down the conventional route of balancing?
Cheers! Charlie

Have you tried giving the tyres a bang to separate, sometimes there can be tyre soap if in new tyres that beads would adhere too.

Also, I found that with mine the balancing effect got better as they had done some miles.

I would discuss with them direct and see what they say. Diesels Lives Matter. ⛽️🛢️👨‍🔧🧰⚙️

Get them balanced. Never had an issue with mine, done once 30k later on and off road still perfect. Instagram @defender_ventures

Will contact dynabeads and see what they.

Yeah I think I probably will just get them balanced. Charlie

I have Dynabeads and they work perfectly - are you sure you don’t have a buckled wheel - I had this and wrongly assumed it was the tyres that needed balancing 2017 Range Rover L405 Vogue SE V8 Diesel #16

Wheels are definitely fine. They had been balanced with iron adhesive weights and were fine. Charlie

I was having trouble with some BFGs. Help the Dynabeads as much as possible by balancing as well as possible via the normal route. Then either break the rim and pour in the large beads or (spend an eternity*) pouring small beads into the valve. Had no problems since.

*I did it on a cool morning in the shade. Choose your favourite Gas Law, I cant remember which, but dumping the air cooled the valve stem which condensed the moist air around the stem. The small amount of water wasn’t really visible, but stuck the beads together. I worked this out on tyre number 5.

I think the beads could be clumped but short of pulling the tyre off the bead I’m not sure how to break up the clumps.

I’ll probably try and find somewhere that does black wheel weights and get it done conventionally. Charlie
