ARB Headlight upgrade loom
Looking at upgrading my headlight loom, although Iā€™m not sure whether it will make much difference as I have a late MY15 and I think the headlight looms had been changed by then for what I can understand.
Anyway having read all about Boomslang and Landreiziger looms, has anyone had experience of ARB IPF looms? To me they look more failure proof running 3 relays instead of the one so if a relay does pack up you still have a light left rather than the Boomslang and Landreiziger ones which leave you in the dark. 15 plate 2.2SW XS

The Land Reiziger loom is great, it has a dual relay unlike the Boomslang which is single.
The two Relays are one for dipped, the other for main beam so you have two.

The only reason the one you've suggested has 3 Relays that I can think of is a third fir axuillery feed for example a light bar.
I actually have four Relays on mine, the Land Reiziger with two and two separate one for each light bar.
On mine I swapped out the Relays for quality Duirte ones with diode, but I did have to swap ground and trigger pins to suit.

If in doubt, get an auto electrical specialist to sort it out but it is well worth doing.
My headlight switch has under 300 mA (0.3A.) going though it now, instead of the full headlight Load being 55w each headlight in standard factory fit. (Approx 8.5 - 9.4Amps total.) Diesel$ Live$ Matter. ā›½ļøšŸ›¢ļøšŸ‘Øā€šŸ”§šŸ§°āš™ļø RED, WHITE & BOOST! šŸ‡¬šŸ‡§

Rather than pay a small fortune for a kit, it is far cheaper to go to an auto electric factor and buy the relevant parts. Then you can do it yourself for a fraction of the cost.
Did it about 15 years ago, using individual relays for dip and main on each headlamp thus giving me a total of 4 relays. Taking power straight from the alternator, via a fuse, to shorten the wiring runs. Also used 6mm cable

From relay to the load.
It is not so much about "upgrading" the headlamp loom as taking the load off the headlamp switch, thus prolonging its lifespan.
If you look at the wiring diagrams for older military vehicles, they had relays for things like the brake lights and horn as well. It is not a Defender, it is a One_Ten
