Throttle body hose identification
Anybody know where this goes? i thought it was a throttle body coolant thing i could just ignore, but not sure.

Yeah it runs coolant under the intake to aid starting... if you look underneath there’s a small ‘sump’. It can be blocked off.

Actually, let me have a look, i have that blanked off, now i think about it, i’ll have to have a look, did you take any photos the other week at the coffee event? Laughing I can’t remember.
I know there’s a water gallery under there, as mine leaked before it was all up and running.

its not the water jacket as that's a separate assembly and the pipes come from below and face forward. The breather from the rocker is the big hose facing forward.

Its part of the emissions control system to avoid fuel fumes from the tank being released to atmosphere. It goes to the purge valve, its an input. The ECU opens the valve when above idle to vent the fumes captured in the evaporator and sucked into the plenum to burn them. You can blank it off.

Reached the same conclusion by the extremely technical method of blowing through it. It literally comes out inside the throttle body. I’ll be capping it off 👍
