Thinking of taking a drone as well.

Yep, keep em peeled, there's the 110 pictured in this thread and a very heavily modified, tall, brutal 90 that's my hardcore off roader. They live... somewhere near Houndmills. What do you have, there's a few nice vehicles in town, a slightly famous brown 110 that I think is currently overlanding in Morocco and lots of other local enthusiasts... |

I could barely use my drone a couple of weeks ago... wind was just too much. Managed to get some great footage of a waterfall, part of the Glencoe pass and a little bit inland on another mountain pass. But that was about it, we could barely even stand up at the Fyrish Monument let alone fly a drone |

I shall post a photo later but I drive a '53 90 TD5 HT, with the wheel currently taken off the rear door as the rattling was bugging me! Plus the tyre came off the rim when I was pay & playing, and is terribly unevenly worn. I won't necessarily know it's you, of course, but I'll give a wave to any Defenders I see about town! |

Looks great! If you ever need diagnostics I've got a Nanocom for TD5 Defender here. These are my 2. We were out in the 90 clearing trees after yesterday's storm. That's the 110 in Scotland brewing a cuppa on the tailgate Click image to enlarge |

You weren’t lying when you called the 90 a beast!
As a matter of fact, I could do with a Nanocom reading! I, too, was out yesterday to see if I could help anyone/move fallen trees and branches. Found no-one needing my help but ended up needing help myself, as the Defender decided to die whilst driving down a country lane in Ellisfield! Had to use my passenger’s AA membership to call ‘em out! Glad I had a Thermos of tea with me! I think it may be oil contamination on the ECU pins. If you’re back from bonnie Scotland, would you be free this week? |

I am back, I'll send you a PM now! No problem!
We ended up on a few green lanes over near Oakley and Kingsclere, shame we didn't speak yesterday as I'd have come out and had a look! |

Depends what you want to see but you aren't very far really from the Glenfinnan Viaduct (Harry Potter train bridge) and also the James Bond Skyfall Aston Martin viewpoint where they get out before heading down to Skyfall house. Depends if you're into either of those things?

Beautiful glen. I have been down there loads. Canoed on the loch a few times. Well worth doing the walk around Loch Affric at the end. Here is a trip report: https://www.defender2.net/forum/topic64685.html |
