Child seat laws HELP !!!
Need some advice as the child seat laws state a child under 12 years old and less than 1.35m high need to use a booster seat, yet if you use a booster seat in the centre rear seat on a utility then the headrest does not go high enough hence the childs head is not protected, so that leaves a dilemma, break the law and have the child correctly protected or comply with the law and have the childs head/neck at risk if an accident happened.

The Booster seat is designed to put the child into the correct position with regards to the seat belt shoulder strap. The majority of headrests provide very little protection as they are NOT fitted to the occupant. However an incorrectly fitted/positioned seat belt shoulder strap can be lethal. Actually headrest can be vital in the event of an accident prevent serious injury or death - fitting them correctly is one thing i grant - but actually having them there really helps Mike
