Door speaker sound insulation
I am upgrading the door speakers and will insulate the inner door skin and door card.

I was wondering about the outer door skin whether just Dynamat/Silent Coat is necessary or should I add a layer of dense closed foam like dodo

Thanks

The outer skin has a patch of panel dense material ( like dynamat ) already on it so adding more won't do much.

A closed cell foam will be helpful although probably not a huge amount.

You will need to strip the window and gubbins out to get to fix to the outer panel succesfully as there is alot going on in the door.
