Hi guys I have a 2.2 puma it's showing 100k, no history with it!
Engine is dry and sounds nice been running around in it since Christmas eve.
All seems good I've had a few pumas in defenders and transit 100k doesn't scare me. Today I dropped the oil in it and refilled never done the filter just because I had the oil.
I'm going to grab some more oil and genuine filters to do a proper service next week.
My question with the lack of history would it be advisable to do and engine oils flush/clean/treatment seen mixed reviews on this.
Any advice welcome tia

Maybe check with a Land Rover dealer to see if they can shed some light on the service history?

No need, just change the Oil and filters.

Gearbox and Transfer case as well, keep a eye on what comes out...

After much thought and trawling the net I'm going to give the flush a pass.
I'm going to give it another cheap oil change simply because I have the oil
That in theory should get any crap out.
Then a full proper service with decent oil and genuine filters.
The sump has a rusty gash on it, so I bought a new one I'll change that st the same time.
