replacing the Fuel Filter housing TD5
what is the thinking on replacing the fuel filter housing on a TD5 . £100+ seems like a rip off to me.

This looks well engineered https://goreproducts.com/products/td5-fuel-filter-housing but still!

My housing has corroded where the bolts attach it to the chassis.

my options are to accept it and pay up or wait to find a TD5 that is breaking and find a replacement from this source.

thanks

As they all seem to fail through corrosion then one from a breaker would seem like a false economy. The Gore unit is a permanent fix. Darren

Also good idea
to isolate aluminium parts from steal parts helps to prolong its life

ie. abs plastic between filter head a the chases and under bolt heads and plastic tube over threads
