Interesting to see that Ford are still having issues with clutches and now have a new recall in place for vehicles going all the way back to 2014:

Type / number of model: Various
Batch number / Barcode: Vehicles produced between 2014 and 2018 are affected.

So Ford has a recall because of a fault that may result in propulsion being lost...

Landrover, it seems, doesn't feel this is necessary.

could it be that LR have done the sums and decided that due to all the other issues the likelihood of loss of population due to clutch or adapter shaft is so low it's not worth worrying about Rolling with laughter

I wonder how many different owners there will have been on some 10 year old vehicles, how many clutches some may have been through and how many current owners will even get to know about this recall?

Good to see happening though, as opposed to the view "it's well out of warranty, dealer and manufacturer are not interested..."
