Change of wheels
Hi,

Looking at changing my 16” sawtooth’s for these 18” XTR1.
What’s everyone’s thoughts on them?
Has anyone fitted these and have photos?
They will be going on a 110 double cab.

Many thanks,
Dan

I have these wheels on my Defender for about 18 months now. Really like 18’s and these are also easy to clean design.

My lacquer peeled off after a short while so I stripped them and colour coded them the same as the body. No issues with the paint since.

I have 265/65R18 BFG AT2 - really happy with them. After I painted the wheels I used Dynabeads to balance them rather than stick on weights and really pleased I did.

That looks good I like that. Do you have any issues of them rubbing on full lock?

I would go for the bfg’s I think, I have the now and seem to be good.

A dissenting voice. There's only one wheel that looks good to me on a Defender.

Get some Wolfs....

But then I like chocolate brown bathroom suites, so what do I know!

I have Boost alloys on mine, but do you know what, I can't argue with that comment Thumbs Up

But each to their own, personally Joe the Plumber, I'm more of an avocado bathroom suite with the walls painted with Magnolia Rolling with laughter

For what it's worth, Keswick90dan, I think the 18" look good Thumbs Up

Personally I think they are a lovely looking wheel. I might be slightly biased as I run the 18 inch twisted but I really think an 18 gives the defender a really mean look.

No rubbing on full lock. They are ET10 and with the steering stops set correctly they give a decent turning circle and no rubbing.

Saw an Arkonik wearing them recently. Great looking wheels. WARNING.

Really great looking wheel and one that you do not see to often (or at least not round my parts haha!)
