Stayed there the night we got married (in the church on the beach).

Wife used to live about 100 yards from it next to the golf course. Very Happy

Grandparents in laws house (and field) is actually in a much nicer position than the hotel Mr. Green Oh we 5 out of 6 of us got chronic food poisoning from eating there once - kind of put us off a bit. Defender 110XS SW gone... now VW California 180 4 Motion.

I've often thought an airstream would work well behind a Defender.

Either that, or one of those 5th wheel American things that are often seen attached to Double cab pickups. 1982 Wife

TBH I think we were VERY unlucky. It's a fantastic hotel overall. We were completely out of action for three days though!

Definitely shout when next down - I grew up around there and absolutely LOVE the area. In fact I ran from Porthilly (Rock) to Polzeath and back on the coast path at the weekend and apart from being knackered, I was grinning my head off! Got use of a Boston Whaler and waterski kit in Rock when needed if you ski? Oh and the field is great fun in a Defender!

Not given up on the idea yet - did some measuring of the driveway - it's 7ft 10" at it's narrowest but would require turning around about 100 yards down the road - not handy. Going to see if we can find a sensible storage option.

5 berth Bailey Orion is only 7ft 2" and a basic 5 berth Elddis is 7ft. But if we find storage, width won't be an issue. A shame having 5 acres of land but such tight and awkward access! Defender 110XS SW gone... now VW California 180 4 Motion.
