The new #DEFENDER is ace. Really good, some really good features designed into it. Best one for me is the wash out rubber flooring, no more carpet covered in mud. Ace day at Solihull, thanks @LandRover_UK https://t.co/fNKvoS5izY https://twitter.com/shandy_defender/status...26022?s=17

Apparently not an egg banjo in sight..

Not sure an all white/cream (aka Acorn, but I’ve never seen any white or cream coloured acorns) interior is that practical and with black rubber flooring........ strange mixture. I’m sure that most of the target market will be looking for nice soft carpet mats to hide the rubber. Pangea Green D250 90 HSE with Air Suspension, Off-road Pack, Towing Pack, Black Contrast roof , rear recovery eyes, Front bash plate, Classic flaps all round, extended wheel arch kit and a few bits from PowerfulUK Expel Clear Gloss PPF to come
2020 D240 1st Edition in Pangea Green with Acorn interior. Now gone - old faithful, no mechanical issues whatsoever ever but the leaks and rattles all over the place won’t be missed!

My thoughts too.

A bit like wearing swim shorts and hiking boots.

I'm still not sure on these new defenders but think if I can get time I might go to the Glasgow tour for a look...
I think the new 90 will still be the only short wheel base 4x4 which can tow 3.5t and the auto box plus probably being easier to get in and out would better for my dad to use

I see the breakfast menu is aimed at the prospective new customer base.

"Croissants filled with ham and cheese frittata"

It seems Gerry's talent has no boundaries.

After such a successful (sic) re-design of a motoring legend, he has now reworked the traditional bacon and egg butty to bring it up to date.

Maurice Wilks must be turning in this grave.

Yep, the menus from the launch events absolutely confirm who the target customer is and who the vehicle has been specified, designed, built and tested for.
The picture is now crystal clear.

I assume from the menu, they're aiming it at those Extinction Rebellion types...?

As well as their usual hairdresser customer base of course.

I've look and looked at the new one, and if I had the money, I'd be straight down at the dealership...

...ordering a Jimny.
