This is the thing; It's a lovely thing to own and I will miss it when it's gone, but I am just not able to use it often enough. I could very easily keep it but I'm not a collector.

I hope you don’t regret it

I hope so too. I might one day, but the only things I have really regretted selling have been those which brought me great memories from adventure.

Do you have another project in mind?

Always. My friends ask me what my latest project is when I meet them. I think that I enjoy the process of breathing new life into something more than continued ownership. However, I do still have an itch to own a classic Range Rover, although in reality one is probably beyond my means.

This bit in the description did make me laugh though

I reworded it, but it was funny how that came out. It does require meticulous attention to know when to stop restoring something.

That's definitely a more accurate and appealing description. Such a great restoration. I did show the boss last night but apparently I've already spent my budget for the year.

I gave it a good clean a couple of weekends ago. It's still very tidy underneath after all the effort to restore and protect the chassis and axles.

You have to laugh at the fact that the axle cases are stronger than those on the last Classic Defenders, the wheel-bearings are bigger, and generally everything is better engineered! Progress, eh?

Just a short note to say thank you to everyone who gave me the benefit of their wisdom and experience during the restoration. Thumbs Up

It was essentially concluded in May last year, when I finally got the brakes working as intended. It was fun and a lot of hard work but time to close the chapter. PGV is now parked up in the garage awaiting collection to begin the long journey to its new owner. I just popped out for one last look;

Did I see you in Rendlesham today or was it the new owners of the 90? James

I wasnt sure if you pulled over for a chat, sorry if you did, the kids were getting hungry so had to get home.

They're 16in Bowlers, wish I'd gone for the 18" but still like them.

Not sold the 90 yet then. Does look great!! James
