Hmmm... not a replacement for my Defender (for me), but my trusty XC70 may feel vulnerable to change Wink

Great spot - thanks for posting Defender "Puma" 2.4 110 County Utility (possibly the last of the 2.4's)

Slagging off the old model and ripping the p!ss out of the owners of old ones.. all by a guy who doesn't seem to understand landrover has a "d" in it.

Great way to attract buyers.. Rolling Eyes 2011 110 USW

..this reminds me of few guys i have met here in local Land Rover, at one of the gathering at place called Janda baik (some sort of local off road trip, just very normal off road)...those fellas were so annoying/proud of their brand new range rover and its capabilities, and basically, trashing everything came before (i was with my old P38 Linley)...on the way back, 'God' of rain forest have heard their mantra, and rewarded us with small rain, which ultimately made those brand new range rovers useless over slightest inclination on the road (grass/muddy dirt a bit)..several old rigs including my P38 (all stock, stock tyres) went trough same inclines with no issues whatsoever...facial expression of those proud morons were priceless..

Love the addition of a canvas roof so just like the original after a few months from purchase it will have lots of water dripping on your head from the sunroof For those who like Welsh Mountains and narrow boats have a look at my videos and photos at..

What a load of nonsense, the bloke could barely open the rear door and didn't seem to know what rivets were. Then went on to refer to the 90 as a 5 door.

Don't get me wrong I like the new model and may be interested in one in a few years when reliability is determined etc although my current 2.4 90 is staying with me forever.

I thought exactly the same thing. I’ve watched most of the reviews on YouTube and the Top Gear guy really annoyed me.

A couple of days later I was walking past a news stand saw the Top Gear magazine with the new Defender on the cover and had a flick through, then remembered the YouTube review and instantly put it back and bought something else instead!

Those two cars must be stuck down because every UK motoring magazine has the same photos/videos of the same two cars, same mud on the wheel arches even and not one of them drove either car - JLR’s publicity office must be laughing their heads off watching the videos and looking at the photos. Makes me wonder if there really is a new defender that has any form of engine in it..... all we have seen so far are two cars stuck in the mud yet sparkling clean or corporate produced videos. Maybe they are virtual reality cars. Pangea Green D250 90 HSE with Air Suspension, Off-road Pack, Towing Pack, Black Contrast roof , rear recovery eyes, Front bash plate, Classic flaps all round, extended wheel arch kit and a few bits from PowerfulUK Expel Clear Gloss PPF to come
2020 D240 1st Edition in Pangea Green with Acorn interior. Now gone - old faithful, no mechanical issues whatsoever ever but the leaks and rattles all over the place won’t be missed!

Yeah. What exactly is a "Lanrover" I wonder?

I found the whole thing sarcastic and rather crass. In a nutshell, very 2019. 2011 110 USW

Just watched the new Lanrover review by the Top Gear ickhead , the new one may well turn out to be "better" than the old but I fancy he ain't driven either and that in 20 years time there will still be more of the old crappy ones on the road in the world than the new.

Ecco, i would put that down to the driver not knowing how to use their vehicles to be honest.
I have a 2010 Sport, and that goes just about everywhere, even before i fitted the AT tyres,
and ran it on the stock continentals. Dunes, forest trails, creek crossings etc.. Do not under
estimate the capability of the LR terrain response system, it makes the vehicles about
go anywhere, however it does need whoever is behind the wheel to have some nonce on how
to get the best out of it Thumbs Up

Cheers

Jim

You don’t even need an incline for a Land Rover Experience instructor to get in trouble in spite of all the top notch electronics on board of his modern top notch FFRR. Luckily a Classic Defender comes to the rescue. Whistle

You never actually own a Defender. You merely look after it for the next generation.
