Hey Andy, good you couldn't resist. Thumbs Up
Interesting to hear that these are now becoming obsolete from LR, so your dealer probably got some of the last stock, because these never were a big stock item. Guess it is a good lesson to never sell a Defender again with these genuine Recaros installed, at least not if there ever would be the chance you'd buy another Defender at a later stage again.
If I remember well, two years ago you sold your genuine SVX Recaro seat covers, part number VPLDS0038. Think it would be a good idea to try order another pair, maybe they are still available, but if the seats become obsolete, so will these seat covers. In my case they perfectly safeguard the bottom leather sides from scuffing, keeping the Recaros as new, even after 10 years and my almost 100k km. I even have a spare pair of these seat covers in my stock, just in case something would happen to the ones I use now.
I cannot see the detail of the center fabric in your pictures, but presume it is the genuine SVX fabric with the small LR ovals? Will you retrim your rear seats now to match the front?
Eric You never actually own a Defender. You merely look after it for the next generation.

Hi Eric,
I had the LR covers fitted an hour after fitting. No these are the accessory recaros, I had SVX ones before that I sold to your good friend bpman but I prefer the material on the accessory type. Andy

Nothing exciting, been that busy with work but recently made a few changes. Just added a LR NAS step, has to remove the LR wheel carrier for now as one of the legs cracked at the weld! Might replace it with the Naka. Fitted the twisted DRL bumper and then just yesterday JW speaker dual burners. Then replaced all the seat back trims in the 2nd and 3rd row as they were looking a bit grubby. Next? Have the 52” laser ready to fit to the Hannibal rack if I can get my hands on one Rolling with laughter some leather goods ordered and then I will get to work on the underneath, suspension etc. Thinking I might try the Alive comfort springs and bilsteins? Anyone have these?

It depends on the kind of driving you do and what you are trying to achieve.
If it's mainly on road, unloaded and you just want a more comfortable ride then Alive springs are a decent option when paired with an uprated anti roll bar and dampers. B6's are very good.

Looking good btw.

Just the road, had the full twisted setup on the LS3 and it was ok. The alive setup is half the price Andy

I recently went with Alive comfort springs (-1) with Fox shocks (non-adjustable) upgraded ARB all on 18’’ Twisted et0 wheels and Cooper AT3s .. really happy with this combo. Had the previous Alive Sport springs and B6s and BFG ATs before and it was quite hard.

Thumbs Up for the Nak wheel carrier .. really good well designed bit of kit.

Fitted the Alive comfort springs, Fox dampers and ARB’s. Still to fit the rear shocks as I was sent 4 fronts by mistake but so far well impressed. Definitely as good as the full twisted setup I used last time which is double the cost. Tembo rack and Lazer R28 due tomorrow so looking forward to getting that up and running.

You fitted your front shocks the other way up to me. Does it make a difference? 2008 Defender 110 XS SW - M57N2 / 6HP28X
