weird leak
i have a leak but i can't figure out what it is. it sprays on the side of the enginre compartment when i'm running but i can't find anything wet under the bonnet. i've cleaned the area and it comes back. its so thin i can't tell what type of fluid it is. any suggestions?

Most likely spilling for the PAS reservoir when on an incline or very hot. It happens. The breather hole for the PAS is at the back and does spill there Instagram @defender_ventures

this hole? its pointing directly at the front bumper and doesn't appear to be leaking. or is there another vent hole?

Is it oil, diesel or coolant?

i can't tell. its is a bit slick to the touch but i can't detect an odor. i clean the area up and it comes back in a day. everything on the side of the motor seems dry.

There is a hp diesel hose along the engine runs from the back to the front. I had a leak there last month. But as it is a 4 bar pressure line I think it would be more visible. At least mine left some some traces for about 10 km that you still could follow a few days later. Twisted Evil Roel

Have you checked the pipework from the engine breather.

If it is coolant, check the fuel cooler under the inlet manifold. Mine used to leak only when the engine was warm. If it is PAS fluid, check the union at the front of the engine near the front most inlet manifold bolt. 02' 110 TD5 Double Cab Rebuild Thread
