Max flat bed dimensions ?

I am in the process of turning my 130 into a dropside flat bed.
I have sourced a transit flat bed that is 2.4m long and 2.2m wide. I could cut it down width ways but some people are saying I should fit it as is.
If I fit it as it is there will be an over hang on the width by about 200mm each side.
Would this be legal ? I have looked but I can only find max vehicle width of 2.55m

I would have thought it would be OK with the appropriate conspicuousy markings, lateral protection devices and lighting.

Wolf mirror arms would give the correct rearward view in the side mirrors
