Not interested I’m afraid, but the s/s issue may be down to the battery?
That said my parents have the same car, all be it petrol, and the s/s doesn’t work also. Good luck with the sale, fun car to drive and quite nippy and fun to chuck about on the backroads. |

I have a BMW which had a dashcam fitted for a few years. While this was fitted the S/S was very intermittent, usually not working.
The dashcam has since broken and the S/S has started working, so the battery could be the issue as if it falls below a certain level I do believe it doesn't allow the engine to S/S. GLWTS |

We have a 2015 Diesel Clubman and the battery has to be at full charge for the S/S to function normally. There should be a symbol come up on the dash when you pull up (A battery with a diagonal line through it) showing that the S/S is functioning normally, but the battery has insufficent charge to allow it to operate. Hope this helps. Phil

I guess that's the same as the S/S on my wife's BMW X1. Yes, very erratic especially in Winter. On the X1 forums, the discussion tends to be more about how to disable it completely!
