Not really any different from many other British 'icons' like Royal Enfield m/cycles or MINI........

They are jjust a pastiche of previous endeavours

Seen it!

Two vehicles in camo went north on the A49 near Ludlow around 11.30am today. From what I could see in my rear view mirror, one had a rear door window, the other didn't. It started with a kiss, never thought it would come to this.
SIII CSW Safari, limestone, (JAC 914N). Where is she now?

It's not a car, it's a way of life!

Yes a bit like Apple products. Designed in California, Assembled in China.

Too expensive, image obsessed, made obsolete by a lack of software updates and losing thousands of customers.
Apple... obviously...

Nothing misleading about that statement imo, its all true.

If it said built or assembled that would be false for the new defender if it is to be built in Slovakia

The image thing is usually something that steers me away from brands. Can’t stand fanboys but I’ve got to admit Apple products simply work. Easy to understand user interface and good synchronisation. Never needed a manual, instead of Windows. Even de latest one. I need one for work but even after over 20 years I still find myself looking far too long sorting stuff out. Hate the pricing on Apple products as well, but it saves me valuable time I can spend on Defender.net! Laughing

About the new Defender, maybe we all should wait for the first “self” test drive to see what it’s like and wait for some real world testing by people like Andrew St Pierre White to see what it does on different terrain / expeditions before we make a judgement. I like the Discovery 3 and 4, I might like the new Defender as well.
