Locking wheel nuts
Looking for recommendations for a new set of locking wheel nuts for my Boost alloys, the current one have about had it

Whats the point? Youll keep the wheelnut key in the vehicle. Not many places to put it so itll be in the cubby box. Eaay to find.

Even so, scroats can get lockable wheelnuts off easily - buy something off ebay for a few quid. No effort required, apart from carrying around the bricks to sit it on afterwards.


Instead spend the cash on new steel wheel nuts all round - these wont swell up after a few years so you wont need a 28mm socket to go with your 27mm

Because it stops the opportunist and makes it slower, even if by a few minutes. Not only that but some insurance companies require locking wheel nuts if alloys fitted no matter the value of said alloys.

That took a lot longer than it takes to get a standard Defender locking wheel nut off.

I don't think I have ever come across a less effective locking wheel nut than the Defender ones.

I have them, the key is hidden... I have bowlers, the pone rear door, I have two locks. My view one less thing to deter them

Mine didn’t come with the locking nut key, so took them off and put standard nuts on. The spare is locked on independently. If you want them on for peace of mind so be it, but I wouldn’t bother other than maybe the spare cause that’s the wheel they want cause it’s hassle free to get it off
