That's a good look. I'm thinking of doing something similar now to my 110 USW. Can I ask where you sourced the raf roundels please? Thumbs Up 2010 XS USW

Had a great trip to Normandy and was glad that we have done so much of it over the years as it was very busy, I should think that every serviceable WW2 vehicle was on the road.
The Dakotas dropping paratroops over the drop zones was worth the wait, the noise and spectacle made the hair on the back of the neck stand up.
Some of the re÷enactor sites were very well done and showed some brilliant collections with a lot of detail.

We stayed not far from the village of Cruelly which was liberated on d day and the Chateau in the village was used by the B B C for their reports on the D Day compain with a small museum to highlight that role.
Some photos shown of Normandy at the time shows the devistation of the area, which is easily forgotten.
Very moving and thought provoking trip.

Nick, I passed through Creully several times as I was camping just 7 minutes down the road at Martragny. Very pleasant peaceful part of Normandy - and useful to be inside the “Restricted Zone” Thumbs Up

We stayed at Martragny, but must have been in the other campsite, had a great trip and spoke to some very interesting people.
Ended up at the Caen memorial which has a fantastic museum and also had a Norman Rock well exhibition on who did a lot of wartime posters and human rights paintings.

Hope you guys didn't get to wet?
