England 2004 Defender 110 Td5 XS CSW Java Black
Ah yes, hadn't thought of that. But were not going in July, so all good.
Yes indeed we are going Anti clockwise, starting in the black isles, and working round. We have a Rottweiler, and have found that not all sites are Rottie friendly... Crying or Very sad But my wife has listed half a dozen or so site that do welcome them - our boy is as soft as a wet paper bag...

In preparation for 'full' campsites we have just gone and bought a camping toilet - £35 + eco friendly chemicals.. Wife hates the idea - but im sure she will be thankful if it does happen... A friend who travels lots said that in the national parks you can pitch up at 'the side of the road'(rest areas) - I do plan to double, triple check with local info/visitor centres should the worst happen...
We will however take your advice and book the night/or 2 before.

Lets hope its not so busy... Whistle Regards
Adam

Scotland
You can wild camp in most of Scotland, but camping with a car is not wild camping and so is technically not allowed. Not that it stops the millions of idiots in campervans every year. The whole west coast is busy from May until September these days. I can’t even pop over to see something on Mull without booking a week in advance thanks to the subsidised ferries.

Still worth visiting, but don’t expect seclusion and quietness outside of winter Smile
