Broken pliers in swivel 🙄
I was repositioning the swivel pin bearing when the end of the circlip pliers snapped off and dropped inside the swivel...

You can see from the picture below the size of the bit that’s now inside the swivel.

The swivel housing is the new type with no drain plug.

What are people’s thoughts, do I seal it back up and forget it’s in there, or do I remove the bottom swivel pin and try to drain out the grease and hope that the broken bit of metal comes out as well?

If it were me I would have to take the bottom pin out given how little work is involved!

Thanks, that will be the next job. Hopefully it just drops out the bottom!

Thanks for the help, I needed up taking it all apart. No pliers but a damaged bearing so was worth checking out in the end!
