How to check level of swivel grease?
I've some minor leakage of swivel grease which I want to replenish. How do I measure the amount that's still in there and to which lvl should I add one shot swivel grease?

Thnx in advance! a defender from 1984 pretending to be a puma with a touch of Range Rover

Hi. I use a long zip tie and use that as a dipstick.

Just shove half a tube in (per side) each year. If you over fill it just goes into the axle oil. No problem. No grease knackered swivel and joint.

As above, if I am suspicious of a slight leak then half a tube in each side to be sure. ---

Thnx, another job sorted. But to see if both sides leak equally (and I've filled them to the same lvl) I painfully designed a stub axle grease measuring kit. After a few hours of designing and prototyping I came up with this:

Does the job Thumbs Up and will see if I have to replace the seals in the future a defender from 1984 pretending to be a puma with a touch of Range Rover
