On a similar note I was working for a security company and there was a guy selling our products on eBay for an inflated price. Once someone had bought the item he would buy it from us then post it on. No stock no overheads.

That’s how a fair few sellers work on EBay.

You buy it from eBay and it arrives via Amazon....

Give the guy a break, he's just trying to make a living like the rest of us, so what if he takes a cut of the sale price, (see estate agents, what's the difference?) sounds like he offers a useful service, anyone actually bought a car from him and slagging him off from experience? I'm guessing most of the people who Had the cash to buy a £150k defender (let alone the lambo's, Ferrari's , bentleys etc he's representing) don't want just any Tom dick or Harry popping round to kick the tyres, can't imagine any main dealers want to cough up £150k plus to have it sat on their forecourt until "mr right" comes along!
Don't give the guy a hard time because Landrover decided to make a quick buck regurgitating used vehicles when they saw an opportunity for the 70th anniversary, it's just business
Of course you could build one for less, you could say that about plenty low mileage defenders hovering around the £40k!
