Well today I ground welds and removed tabs from rear cross member as they were restricting the fit of the rear tub. Have acquired a Td5 rail to use instead. Just means a bit of faff getting its final position in order to drill holes in member to secure it.
Note in pic how corrosion has occurred behind the tab on a galv chassis.

Another issue is that the tub is sitting on tank and therefore doesn’t go low enough to reach cross member at the rear. This is due to nas tank whilst not in use bloating. As shown in pic below I have put pressure on rear of tank with some wood and g clamps where a cross member of floor runs. Also put a big weight near one of the breathers as another rob touches it .

Can I ask where you got the 3rd brake lights and what make/ type they are? I need a replacement for the NAS 90 as ours has long since broken up so we don't have one at the moment. Is there such a thing as too many Defenders?....

Been busy bolting more stuff on.....really frustrating when you know it's going to have to come apart again.

Might be worth your while to contact him directly? See what he might be willing to do to help reduce the Impact of customs duty and tax. It is not a Defender, it is a One_Ten
