fits on the standard screw holes that hold the trim in place.

But you need long-ish screws, and I have had a few occasions when the handle just rips out if you use it to pull yourself into the car.

X4SP's solutions is much better, except I would use a soft handle, in case you bang you head against it while off-roading. --

That was my concern, it won't hold your weight but it is useful for balancing as you get in/somewhere else to hold on to.

Also planning on fitting some MUD grab handles or similar above the rear doors to aid entry and somewhere to hold when off road. Idea was to is rivnuts.

Does the standard door handle pick up existing screw holes for fixing points OR did you do something else?

Screwed straight in! The holes line up almost perfectly, couple mm out. I did use longer stainless steel screws and the biggest washers I could fit into the grab handle.

Also curved the edges of the handle to match the curve of the a pillar. For £3 I can't complain and the mrs is happier about getting in haha

Driver and passenger grab handles are on the list for me too. (It''s a long list.....)
I'd have thought one of the suppliers would have picked up on this and come up with an off the sheff option by now. It's something that could be easily engineered in my view given a bit of time. Mud etc.. should be on this as it's a common conmplaint by passengers and is available in any other car on the market today.

Does anyone have a part number for the standard handles that fit on the A pillar and the screw size/length needed. I'll get those added as an alternative to see if this solves the problem for now. The list in never ending...

I did saw these mentioned on another tread... Interesting but not exactly beautiful...
