As someone who witnessed first-hand the total destruction of GEC by staggeringly incompetent senior management, I have to say that there are some disturbing parallels with JLR at the moment.

I hope that the writing isn't on the wall, but I certainly wouldn't be buying JLR shares at the moment.

With the weather getting warmer and the resultant growth spurt you will soon have to trim all of that greenery!

Anyone who is keen on model railways will be interested in this (and probably horrified too):

If you want to make a donation, that's here:

I don't think I can find the link to the 'www.bringbackhanging.com' site at present....

Mindless and what possible fun can you get from trashing someones life's work, one chap has been building his layout for over twenty-five years. And if the four youths arrested are guilty what sort of sentence will the get, certainly one that no doubt will not fit the crime in leniency. For those who like Welsh Mountains and narrow boats have a look at my videos and photos at..

This is one of those situations where the financial cost of the crime pales in comparison to the emotional impact on the victims. To have their passion and life's work trashed is horrible. Fortunately, the perpetrators will likely not get what the fuss is about, it's just a bunch of toy trains after all Rolling Eyes 2007 110 TDCi Station Wagon XS

That is the most sickening news I have heard for a very long time.

Good show by Sir Rod Stewart, though, and the fact that the justgiving page set up to raise £500 has now raised over £60,000 does something to restore your faith in humanity.

The perpetrators were one aged 16 and three at 15. I can only hope that their parents now smash every single possession that each child values.

Mindless vandalism. Model railways have never been an interest of mine but I recognise the countless thousands of hours of work that must have been put in by the club's members. Defender 90XS SW
