New mudflaps & buzzweld the cross member.
Decided my cross member was looking a bit shoddy after 18 months or so I last did it. Tried something new to me, buzzweld.

Sanded down, pre paint, rust encapsulater then top coat.

Then I took ages deciding on what new mudflaps, wasn't sure even when ordered, but having fitted then I like them. First time using a Rivnut tool and drilling out old brackets a phaff but pleased with overall results. New galvanized brackets on front, re used rears but sanded, rust proofed and top coat.

Looks good. I would have expected more masking required, did you not get any overspray, or does it brush on?

I had more than shown but took some off before picture,

It sprays on and it quite easy to get in the right place if that makes sense.

Thumbs Up

18 months ago I didn't sand back to metal.

Just lightly sanded, etch primer and then a car spray paint top coat. Don't get me wrong walking upto it I could have left it but round the holes was starting to blister.

I thought with the new flaps...why not smarten it up 👍
