Need a new Radiator .
I was surprised to find the radiator core on my 2014 2.2 has developed a weep. No evidence of damage or impact.

Should I replace with a genuine L R rad or is there a quality aftermarket option available?

Thanks

You might want to look at Alive tunings options.

I'll probably be shot down in flames here, but you could try a bottle of Forte radiator leak sealer (I can't post a link from my phone I'm afraid - search on Amazon). It's brilliant on minor leaks.

I used it on my old Citroen Berlingo as the heater matrix leaked and was a major job (dash out) to swap. It lasted perfectly for four years and then I sold the van.

I quite understand if you'd prefer a new rad though.

Mine started leaking about 8 years ago and I replaced it with a decent aftermarket via the local factor. The replacement has lasted longer than the original, and (at least so far) has not leaked at all. It was a fraction of the cost of a genuine one, and much better value.

What about an Allisport one? They're expensive but seem to be OK and even a bit bigger than the factory units with no plastic bits.

I was actually considering them when I had a radiator leak scare that just turned out to be a hose that was not reconnected properly.

Does the factory one have the crappy plastic end tanks like the intercooler? Those seem to be a weak point, 2014 Keswick Utility 2.2

Your genuine 14 plate one leaks after 5years which to me would say genuine are not worth the extra £££·

I fitted an all makes one to my 07 plate 2 years ago, fraction of price and all ok. Cheers

It was a Nissens radiator that I fitted (see post above). I couldn't remember the name, but the moment I saw the name it came back.

I have been completely satisfied with the one I fitted, it is every bit as good as the original Landrover one (and has already lasted longer that the factory radiator).

I believe Nissens is the OEM for Land Rover.

Mine is the original LR one which is now 14 years old, Quite happy with that so I will replace with the OEM Nissens one.

Understand you've made your purchase, but another bit of 'anecdata' for those who visit this thread in the future:

I got Allmakes 'OEM', no thoughts of 'what is this junk!?' when I inspected it (that I've had with other aftermarket parts) and it's been working fine since install. Solved the bowel problem, working on the consonants...
