Fitting A KBX Grille and Headlight Surround
Sorry for a relatively amateurish question, but fairly new to this defender business!

When fitting the KBX grille and headlight surround on a puma defender, is it as simple as unscrewing the old surrounds and grille and just screwing the new one on, or do you have to remove headlights also?

The headlamp surrounds are held on by 2 screws and then the sidelight and indicator on the outer edges.

The centre grille is held on by fir tree clips on models with air con, and screws with non air con. Apparently KBX don't supply any fixings with them (as I found out)

Removing the old fir trees is an absolute bitch of a job, I hate those little BAST Censored !!! 2016 D4 HSE

The best way to get the fir trees off the grille is to tap them out from behind. If you try and lever them out from the front you'll risk scratching the paintwork.

Oh but I do agree with RRUK... Horrible little Censored ! Mr. Green

Took the grill off and used a hair dryer to heat them up as I snapped one .... Agreed horrible little fu@&£rs..... Neutral

wd40 on the back of the fir trees and a piece of wood plus a hammer gets them out no problem!

They are so cheap....just drill the tops off and replace with new..simple Thumbs Up Thumbs Up

I have just removed all my grill fir tree clips by pushing them through using a black rubber sanding block, very easy to do
