output shaft oil seals help please
recently I had the clutch and output shaft changed with LOF kits. The drive is fantastic - light, smooth no shunting or clunks whatsoever.

Yesterday I noticed some oil seeping out of the joint between the G Box and T box from the little drain hole. It smells like Tbox oil (syntrax) as the gearbox oil (multi vehicle) has no smell.

When I went back to the chap who did the job he was surprised that the output shaft came with seals for the gearbox end but not the transfer box end and as he had to make a sliding device to ease the Tbox back on to the shaft he would have thought that a new seal for the Tbox would be necessary instead of just using the old one. On checking the LOF site and others these kits don't appear to include this seal.

The mechanic has offered to take it apart again ( it will be a lot easier this time - everything well greased etc) and has asked me to get a complete seal pack.
Before I phone LR or LOF again I just want to make sure I am going to get the right seals - particularly at the transfer box end. Its a 2.4 and the LOF output shaft was the ' genuine updated Landrover' one (not ashcroft).

As always grateful for any advice

The transfer box input shaft seal is FRC7043, it's the same on all applications of the LT230 transfer box.

I am not aware that LR has ever updated the adaptor shaft kit except for the inclusion of grease.

Thanks Blackwolf
I'd better get 2 as they seem to be the same at the g/box end and handbrake drum end. Cheers mate.
