Looks very tidy but not a proper 109 V8, unfortunately Sad Darren

I wonder if that started life as a 2.6 6-cylinder, in which case it would now be infinitely more collectable with the original motor.

What makes you think its not a proper v8 or was a 2.6? (for the untrained eye) 1999 Defender TD5 110

Because a proper Series III V8 has a flat front like a 110 and a different gearbox with permanent 4wd:

To be fair, looks quite nice! Would have been a 6 cylinder originally - you can tell easily by the bulkhead.

If it’s solid and sells around the estimate I think it’s a reasonable buy

I wondered about the bulkhead but wasn't sure if it had been altered to accommodate the V8. It's years since I've been inside a 2.6, though. Darren

What a waste of a 2.6, it brings tears to my eyes!

The bulkhead has Been alerted, it's not stock 2.6
Getting parts for a 2.6 is a lot harder than the 3.5, I've an exhaust manifold that's blowing, it's just short of £600 for a new one and there's only one supplier who has any stock!
