Wet and windy Wales
A long weekend in Wales ,left Chelmsford on Saturday about 8.30am and headed off for our first coffee break in Tring back on the road we kept to the smaller B roads from Bicester and picking up the A44 at Chipping Norton where we had a walk around Station Mill Antiques Martine had her first purchase of the weekend a pair of child's shoe last's and more coffee ,the A44 is a lovely road lot's to look at and just enough bends to make it interesting on to Moreton in Marsh a small Cotswold town where we took lunch and my wife made her second purchase a pair of salt and pepper pot in the shape of a pair of poodle's and a lovely dress ring ,continuing along the A44 into Wales and finally to Llandrindod Wells and the Victorian red brick hotel The Metropole ,top class room ,food and service.Sunday after breakfast Wales delivered wet ,windy and wild ,I will let the pictures show you our offroad day .Monday we came back the same route apart from getting lost coming in to Bicester Shopping village which we had a nose around only finding a shirt for me, the sun was out and we made good pace home for a working day on British roads.Over all a very nice long weekend

Doesn’t look like the weather spoilt the fun.

A bit of rain makes it feel like more of a challenge. πŸ‘πŸ»πŸ‘πŸ» 2002 td5 90 county hardtop

First time for me and my son at this event, although i'm familiar with the area.

Great to meet everyone and enjoy some bants during dinner. We chose to camp on the Saturday night, which in hindsight may have been a mistake due to the impending storm.

Organization of the event was impeccable and the route was outstanding, both in driving entertainment and a most striking landscape. The 110 behaved and (almost literally) flew home eastwards with storm Freya "filling our sails".

Many thanks to the team, particularly Scott and Tim leading our group.

We'll be back next year for sure.
