2009 Defender 90 Puma 2.4 CSW Stornoway Grey

My 90 CSW Stornaway

Hello,

Bought this in October last year, 09 with 20k miles, use it as a daily driver, in all around great condition however needed new tyres as it was still on originals which were nasty. Took the opportunity to replace the wheels at the same time and very pleased with the results, both visually and in the ride.

I don’t plan to take it too far from original but it’s gets difficult to keep to that when you see the array of options available to individualise/modify it. Started off with a full service as it had been a while according to the paperwork and I wanted the comfort of knowing it was done. Have since added a full set of mats, great addition, well worth it, a Mud snow cowl and fitted a slickshift at the weekend which has improved the gear change a lot!

Next is to look at a remap, looking for a bit more low down grunt and will be fitting some sound deadening at some point in the future.

Anyway, I must put out a general thank you to this site and its contributors, has been a great source of inspiration and help, particularly trying to trace the water leaks!!

Hi Christopher, yes they are and I'm pleased that I went for them, they aren't any noisier, are much more compliant on small ridges and imperfections than the original tyres and they fill the arch just a bit more.

The wheels are Britpart items via LRS on ebay. I was originally looking at having my boost's repainted gloss black but had a look around and decided I like the sawtooth/K02 combination.
