RIP tornado, I'll never forget a firepower demonstrations where they dropped storm shadows, paveways and brimstones all over the place.

What i don't get is why they retire stuff without replacement properly.

The tornado & RAF harrier was to be replaced by the Lightning, The sea harrier was to be replaced by lightning.

Currently we only have 9 or so in service and the rest are in the states... I'm on IG: https://www.instagram.com/osloblue42/

Sounds like an all too familiar story.
Nimrod maritime patrol retired with no replacement.
SAR helicopters outsourced to a contractor.
Aircraft carriers retired with no replacement ready.
Now the Tornado is going.

We're supposed to have the 6th highest GDP in world, and can't defend the country properly. Banging Head
