I’ve messaged him on D3/4 forum with details of this post, so hopefully he will be along soon.

Andy.

Andy Foster is not a member here as he only has a Discovery.

But here are pics of his products

I'd put an AGM battery in a box. Advantage of AGM being they don't spill if you tip them on the side. Put a basic smart charger (doesn't need to be fast) inside to make it easy to use. Make sure you use lots of fuses.

Don't look pretty so unlikely to be stolen. Robust. When the battery fails it's cheap and easy to swap out.

How big are the batteries in your lights? That will define how big the battery in your box needs to be.

Edit: or just run all your lighting off a big 12V battery. That's how my old church did it when camping.

We run them on 6kg propane bottles and they last for ever, according to this website it is 85g/hr for 100W equivalent light.

Bullfinch make gas spot light I think as well. They also make the best blow lamp torches ever.

Sounds like you have a good sized group we run at approx 97 young members, we have some excellent leaders (including DaveK). If you are willing to share some ideas send me a PM.

Thank you for the info. Appreciated. Regards

Got some quotes from Green box and Andy Foster, thanks for the pointers.

Just need to get the group Exec to agree on funding.

RFT, I think our YP number for census is something like 165 with another 35 adults making up leaders, section assistants and network. Keith

Any idea where I can get some cases at a reasonable price?
Like the pelican cases?
Or should I just wait for the LRO show.. There was a few there I recall, even a whole 'garage' of them - all different sizes... I didn't ask the prices though, I always thought they were very expensive... Regards
