Defenders on Screen
With the start of the new series of Vera this evening, I remain astonished that Vera’s P reg. Defender never has let her down. While not a constant viewer of the programme, I am yet to see Vera emerging from under the TDI, rubbing oily hands on her mac, smearing Vaseline on her door seals to guarantee she can get gone on a cold Northumbrian morning, or billowing black smoke during a high-speed pursuit across the Cheviots.

Is this Solihull’s most reliable vehicle? More importantly, how can I buy it and will it cost more than one of those in Spectre?

It's a funny one is that 90. It's got an auto box and a gear stick. Shocked

She also has a knack of dumping it in The most unselubrious areas. It’s always there when she comes back. It’s very rarely locked.

I love telly for it realism Thumbs Up

Talking of Vera's 90, there's a scene there where she wakes up in the car, and a few moments later, opens the door.

It looks really like the ignition key is on the right hand side? It could be that it's just an optical illusion; or some TV type thought it looked wierd without an ignition key and faked something up....?

Trick of the light, or are there keys on the right? Donald
