central lock
Hello, I have a bad experience with the central locking on my 110 Defender (2015). When the frost comes (temperature minus zero after a rainy weather) it is impossible to open the central lock. When I try to open lock (using the remote pilot) the door locking pin opens and immediately close – then runs periodicaly (open and close continually about 1 s).
I suppose that the cause of such a behavior is ice located on sensor (open/close door) which wrongly informs the central locking unit of the actual state.

Have you got a similar experience ?

Best regards,

Piotr

I experienced the same a couple of weeks back. Managed to get in the passenger side. Hasn't happened since.

This is due to the "toughness" of the opening mechanism caused by the cold. Because it does not fully open, it is immediately closed again. The only remedy is to clean and lubricate all moving parts freshly.
You can (temporarily) also program the 10AS into a pure central locking unit via nanocom and then at least handle with key without the alarm going off. But no idea what has to be done on models that do not have the 10AS -- like yours.

I have had a recurring battle with the central locking on my 2007 DCpU. No spine is one problem fixed then another part sticks jams or falls off. I’ve just put a steering lock on and stopped locking the doors!

I've experienced that if the power lock functions properly, all is well. But once power lock becomes intermittent or temporarily disabled, locking one or two doors by hand becomes impossible. Why is this? Do I need to adjust something?
