2005 Defender 110 Td5 XS CSW Alveston Red

Pump failure 1 (monitor line)

2005 td5 110, with 78,000 miles. My wife got into it today and the brake, absolutely and td5 lights stayed on. I plugged in my Nanocom and got the fault Pump failure 1 (monitor line). Not a clue what that means. Can anyone help please?

This much I know

What I don't know is what the monitor line is and where to start looking for anything obvious

1. start by checking ABS sensor and wiring

Turns out it was a poor connection in the round connector on the abs pump. Local old school Land Rover specialist sorted it in minutes. :

glade that was simple problem as ABS system failure i.e. abs modulator £££££££££££££££££££££££££££££
