300tdi tuning
I recently bought a boost ring, pin and controller for my 300, with an egr deleted, would tuning the fuel pump benefit it much or would it put too much stress on the engine. Rad and intercooler are still standard units. Thanks in advance.

The boost pin and ring are the tuning for the pump. I would however say that upgrading to a full sized intercooler would be a good idea to make the best use of the extra diesel you are allowing the engine to use.

The rad will be fine assuming it is in good shape. On the 300tdi pay close attention to the P-gasket at the front of the engine, they have a habit of leaking and putting extra stress on the engine by tuning it could exacerbate an old gaskets failure.

You will also have to think about adjusting your turbos boost pressure to account for the extra fuel available and the bigger intercooler you might end up fitting.

All in all a strong well maintained tuned 300tdi is a fabulous setup...

I’d fit an egt temp gauge before tuning to heavily. Keep an eye on exhaust gas temps before things get to hot

I always found pump tuning and cat removal was better than a big intercooler.
