2 Electrical Issues Help Needed - Horn & Wiper
2.4TDCI - D110

1. Horn honks once then doesn’t work again. Need to remove (-)battery lead and after a while will do the same one honk and not work.

2. Wiper motor stopped working. Was all good and when I replaced the stalks with new Lucas ones they stopped working. Washer works still.

Both issues are with old and new stalks. Good grounds everywhere. Both worked initially when I got everything powered up but now no good.

All blade fuses have been replaced with new ones - tested good.

Any suggestions for trouble shooting?

The horns are pretty useless and cheap to replace so try a new horn first, it seems that there is just enough life in the horn to give one blast then it dies. On wipers sounds like relay but I would have to leave that to more experienced members on here. Jeff

If you replaced the stalks and then the wiper stopped working have you tried the old ones back in to rule out broken new stalk electrics? Ray

Yes - same issues when I put the old stalks back in. I thought the horn was related to the stalk as that issue popped up first. I figured replace them all with new ones since they were old and I was rebuilding this truck. The wiper issue started when I put the new wiper stalk in. Wipers cycled a few times then died. Horn had the same issue, one sound then nothing.
