Those wheels suit it down to the ground. Still looks old school and nothing blingy Thumbs Up

Very nice James, a V8 Ninety at last. Thumbs Up

Welcome to the early Ninety set.

Now you have the V8, maybe it needs a little run over the border to North Essex? Whistle

Tried fitting the new wheel today and discovered the studs only come about half way thru the nut, so looks like I'll need extended wheel studs Big Cry

Hello James

I'm sure someone will be along to offer advice. My understanding is you can retro fit Wolf wheels regardless of the stud length. The military did this to earlier vehicles and just specified a higher torque setting.

Old Red ran a set for many 1000's of miles with no issues and they are on my tdci now. The studs do not come to the end of the nut and I have torqued them up to a higher setting.

Thread engagement length is a critical factor, particularly with regards to road wheels. As a minimum the thread engagement length should be equal to or greater than the stud diameter. For example if the stud diameter is 12mm then the nut must engage for a minimum of 12mm. It's another urban myth that the stud thread has to extend beyond the end of the nut. Defender 90XS SW

........and it's expensive buying 20 of the longer stud too. They extend much further than the end of the nut......nearly enough to put a 101 style step on the wheel as well ......yes I know 101 has 6 studs rather than 5 Thumbs Up

Congrats James! Looks lovely and I am sure you will add to it!

Can I ask what tyre size you went for and which model? I can see they are Coopers. Cheers

Thanks. The tyres are Cooper ST Maxx 235/85R16. They are standard size but look huge next to the little 205's.

My Ninetys are on original spec 205's, as the little 2.25 petrol engines don't seem like larger diameter tyres, but your V8 should have no trouble pulling the larger diameter.

Is your speedo reading still accurate?
